Enjoy the lovely weather that June provides, with family-friendly activities. Various Juneteenth festivities and other events will take place this weekend in Camden County and Berlin, including a Township-wide campout. This weekend's activities are listed below.
Juneteenth is a holiday that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. It is also referred to as “Emancipation Day” or “Juneteenth Independence Day.” Last year, President Biden signed a bill recognizing Juneteenth as a federal holiday. On Dec. 18, 1865, the Thirteenth Amendment was passed as a part of the United States Constitution, ending slavery.
