2 Lumberton residents arrested after stolen vehicle investigation

On Friday, May 20, at approximately 7:18 a.m., the Berlin Police Department responded to a report of a stolen vehicle.

Officers arrived to find a vehicle that had been stolen overnight from the Berlin Farmer's Market parking lot.

Michael Devine, 56, and Helen Trotter, 55, of Lumberton were taken into custody and charged with theft.

Through officer investigations and the use of a GPS belonging to the vehicle owner, officers were alerted that the vehicle was parked at a business in Berlin Township.

The vehicle was successfully returned to the victim.
