After handing out a 21-point blowout loss to Haddon Heights in the first round of the NJSIAA Playoffs, Overbrook was stunned by the Manchester Township Hawks 63-54 on Wednesday.
Early in the first quarter, the home team struggled with turnovers, giving the Hawks easy ways to create offense at the rim.
The Rams found themselves down 25-20 halfway through the second quarter but were able to find themselves down by 1 just before halftime.
Turnovers were once again the story in the third quarter, despite a strong start from Devon Johnson. Johnson, who finished with 18 points, scored seven straight of them to start the third. The Rams found themselves down by as many as 9 points until a momentum-swinging three was hit by 3 point specialist Nic Johnson and a layup by sophomore Jaylan Hornsby, who also finished with 18 points.
After a combination of turnovers and potent offense by Savon Myers, who finished with 20 points, the Hawks pulled away and never looked back.
The Rams finish the season 21-5.
