5 places you can find Irish Potatoes in Camden County

St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner, so that means it's time for a sweet Philly/South Jersey tradition, Irish potatoes!

Irish potatoes aren't exactly from Ireland, according to Diynetwork.com. They are white potatoes that hail from South America.

Nonetheless, Camden County has more than enough places to fulfill your Irish potato craving.

Located in the Berlin farmers market, The Nut & Candy Depot will have plenty in stock for the next 2-3 weeks. These Irish potatoes are prepacked and usually contain around 12 per container. 

Rays, also known as Rays Boozy Cupcakes, is located on Haddonfield-Berlin Rd. They will continue to carry Irish potatoes until they run out. According to Ray himself, this usually lasts "for 2 or 3 weeks after the end of St. Patrick's Day."

3 miles down the road from Rays is Driftaway Cafe. Their tasty treats are available up until Mar. 20 and are a quarter-pound.

Chocolate Pretzel Heaven isn't just a place for pretzels.

Homemade and rolled by hand, their Irish Potatoes vary due to the size of the potatoes. There are roughly 18 in a half-pound box and about 36 in a one-pound box. The week after Easter is when they are off the shelves until next year.

Available now through Mar. 31, The Gibbsboro Community Garden is hosting its annual Irish potato fundraiser. 24 potatoes come in a bag, and you can select from 5 different flavors that include: Bailey's Irish Ice Cream, Key Lime, Cappuccino, Chocolate, and the regular/original flavor.

You can either place an order with a committee member or with a text/call. Proceeds go to the organization's educational outreach throughout the community.
